Your first booking
Check your setup, review the client-facing flow and verify the resulting appointment before inviting more clients.
Prepare the business
- Finish business setup and create an active service with a valid duration and price.
- Confirm working hours, booking window and any travel limits for the intended service.
- Review booking access, screening, forms, cancellation policy and payment requirements.
- If collecting money or requiring a card, confirm the selected processor is ready. Do not use sandbox card numbers in Live checkout.
Check availability without creating a booking
Open Booking Test Lab under Tools in the provider workspace. If it is hidden, use Settings, Customize dashboard to enable Booking Test Lab first. Choose a service, enter a destination you are authorized to use, and select Test booking.
Review serviceability, protected job time, route buffer, available openings and quoted travel fee. The lab stops before creating anything.
This is the useful first check while preparing your business. It is not a payment or message-delivery test, and it does not reserve one of the displayed times.
Follow the client-facing journey
- When you are ready to accept appointments, open your public booking page and select the service.
- For mobile work, enter and explicitly confirm the service address. For a business-location service, review the selected location.
- Complete any eligibility questions, then check availability and choose an offered time or day.
- Enter the required client details and complete the displayed policy, form, account or payment steps.
- Review the service, date/time, address, travel fee and total before using the final booking or request action.
Submitting the final action creates a real booking or request in Live and may send messages. Only proceed for an appointment the client has authorized. A paid checkout can charge the client's selected payment method.
Verify the result
- Read the final confirmation or request status and retain the booking reference.
- Open Appointments in the provider workspace and check the matching client, service, time, location, total and current status.
- Check any required payment, approval or paperwork rather than assuming an unfinished request is confirmed.
- Confirm that the expected client and provider notifications arrived. A recorded send is not proof of inbox delivery.
If a time or confirmation is missing
- An empty calendar gap may still be too short for travel, setup and cleanup.
- An address inside your service area may not fit between the appointments around it.
- If a requirement is incomplete or a request needs approval, follow the status shown rather than submitting duplicate bookings.
- If checkout fails, verify the appointment and processor result before retrying. Contact support with the approximate time and non-sensitive error text.
