Help with Choosing Stripe or Square

This page focuses on the guide you were reading. Work through the relevant checks below, then send us a question if the issue is still unresolved.

Start with your choosing stripe or square setup

These are checks drawn from this feature's own instructions.

  1. Requiring clients to keep a card on file during RoveLogics booking currently uses Stripe.
  2. Regular client booking payments can use a supported connected Stripe or Square account, subject to account readiness and enabled features.
  3. Some advanced invoice and post-payment workflows are still being checked for Square parity. Do not assume a feature is available for both until its specific workflow is verified.
  4. Open Business settings, then Payments.
  5. Connect Stripe or Square using the processor's secure authorization flow.
  6. Finish any processor verification steps and check the account is ready for checkout.

Common problems in Payments & billing

Choose the problem closest to what you are seeing. Each one includes practical checks and a safe next step.

A payment, invoice, or estimate will not advance
  1. Check the connected processor's account and its test/live environment.
  2. Verify the approval, payment link, invoice total, and current document status.
  3. Compare the processor's actual transaction with the RoveLogics record.
Do not charge again until you have ruled out an already-successful payment or webhook delay.
The client did not receive the document
  1. Confirm the intended recipient address and document status.
  2. Check whether a send action completed and whether the link is still valid.
  3. For pilot workflows, verify email delivery testing is enabled for the environment.
Share no card data or payment secrets when escalating the issue.
