Help with Roles and permissions
This page focuses on the guide you were reading. Work through the relevant checks below, then send us a question if the issue is still unresolved.
01
Start with your roles and permissions setup
These are checks drawn from this feature's own instructions.
- Review current roles in Team or Security.
- Choose the least-privileged role that supports the person's duties.
- Test access with a dedicated fictional staff account.
- Revoke unneeded access promptly when responsibilities change.
- Clinical permissions are separate inside RL Health.
- Only approved owners or admins should change sensitive account settings.

Common problems in Team & resources
Choose the problem closest to what you are seeing. Each one includes practical checks and a safe next step.
A staff member cannot access or manage something
- Review their assigned role and business membership.
- Check service, appointment, and resource assignments.
- Confirm the intended staff account, not another user's session, is signed in.
Avoid broadening permissions beyond what the role actually requires.
A room or provider does not appear as available
- Check working hours, time off, and location eligibility.
- Look for another reservation of the same shared resource.
- Review whether the service requires a specific room or staff capability.
Verify a conflict-free test slot before changing resource rules.
